Community Services

The Crime Prevention/Community Services Division of the Brentwood Police Department is responsible for the following:

D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) instructors at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.
Crime Prevention Specialist’s
Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED).
Quarterly Women’s Self Defense classes for the public
C.R.A.S.E.(Citizens Response to Active Shooter Events) Instructors
Certified Defensive Tactics Instructors

Services

Some of the services the Crime Prevention Division provides include:

Teaching all D.A.R.E (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) classes in all 12 area Brentwood public and private schools
Assist citizens with starting and maintaining Neighborhood Watch Programs
Conduct business and residential security surveys (Video for Home Security Tips)
Speak to various community groups about crime prevention and personal safety
Conduct tours of the police department for various groups including Cub Scouts and pre-schools
Act as liaisons between the police department and schools
Coordinate and teach Women's Self Defense Training
