How to File a Complaint

• Visit the Brentwood Police Department located at 910 Heritage Way, Brentwood, TN 37027
• Call the Police Department, 615-371-0160
• Email your complaint to the Brentwood Chief of Police, Jim Colvin

The Process

1. Any Brentwood Police Department supervisor will assist you in completing a complaint against a police officer. You will be asked to identify yourself and then to give specific details about your complaint.
2. Your complaint will be investigated and you may be contacted and asked additional questions.
3. If it is going to take a long period of time to investigate your complaint, you will receive communication indicating an approximate reply date.
4. When your complaint has been investigated, the Chief of Police will contact you about the matter to discuss.
