Former College Athletes Become Newest BPD Officers

On April 14, three former college athletes stopped by the Brentwood City Commission meeting to officially become the City’s three newest police officers. That evening, Mason Lundgrin, Maggie McCord, and Connor Smith took the oath of office while Brentwood Police Chief Jim Colvin shared their athletic exploits with the City Commission.

Three suspects arrested in connection to Brentwood robberies

Published on June 19, 2025

Earlier this week, detectives with Brentwood’s Criminal Investigations Division noted that a recent burglary in the Witherspoon subdivision was consistent with other recent burglaries in Brentwood and Nashville. A joint investigation by Brentwood Police, Metro Nashville Police, and other law enforcement agencies quickly identified suspects associated with the burglaries.
